Phony Doctors

Pregnancy Counseling

There are many instances when I think people take their beliefs way too far. This is one of them. I understand that there are many people out there who actively protest abortion, but when you create a fake medical clinic where you give people fake advice and facts about abortion just to talk them out of it, you might need some counseling yourself. I've always been a little iffy on the topic of abortion because there are so many situations where I just can't help but to say that it would be OK for the girl to go through with it. Yes, girl was used purposely. It's so sad to see young girls get raped then become pregnant. What's even sadder is that they are sometimes forced to raise these children. This is not to say that the children were mistakes or regrets or accidents, etc. but rather that these young girls are unable to truly take care of their well-being. They have no education (because most have to drop out of school) and no income because most don't have time to work. These girls should not be forced to accept the responsibilities that they did not choose for themselves. On the other hand, those who just use abortion as another form of contraception are completely mistaking its purpose. Back to my main point of this whole thing, regardless of your belief you should not falsify information in order to persuade people that your view is right. People should be allowed to make their own decisions and in certain situations you may not agree with what they have chosen, but if you truly understood every aspect of why they made that choice then may be you would. Rather than creating phony clinics to persuade women not to have an abortion, they should have created counseling centers to help these women through the decision making process without passing judgment.

  1. I agree that creating fony information is wrong, and that counciling is better, especially Christian counsiling. I don't want to argue with you here or anthing, but a baby is a human as soon as it is concived, so although i can compeltely imagine howhard it would be for a girl who is raped and became pregnant, it is still killing the life inside. You make a good point though, it is a hard decision and perplexing for many if not all who go through it.

  2. Wow that is crazy! I know there are Christian clinics where alternate choices are offered other than abortion and I think this is a great thing. I am a big proponent of adoption! However, no clinic should be put on the appearance of being medical, if it is really only a counseling center. I agree with Nichelle's comment, but don't want to start a discussion here. It is interesting to note that getting pregnant as a result of rape is very rare (there are only 3-5 days a month that a girl is capable of being fertilized and the body is under a lot of stress when being raped) and I feel like people use rape to justify abortion so often, when in reality it is a rare occurrence and those getting an abortion for another reason are much more likely.
